Studio ckgoff is a design consultancy specialising in the delivery of public art, placemaking and public-realm works, led by industrial designer Chris Goff.
With more than fifteen years of experience, Chris undertakes projects as a sole practitioner working closely with client teams and specialist consultants from concept through to delivery.
Every project is shaped through collaboration with artists, galleries, consultants, developers and councils to deliver design-led outcomes for public spaces.
Previous projects span London, Europe, Australia and beyond, including collaborations with artists from Saudi Arabia to Noongar Boodja (Perth).
With an extensive understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and real-world conditions, we can provide invaluable insights throughout the design, engineering, build and installation of public art projects.
We provide the tools for artists to effectively communicate concepts, develop designs, manage fabrication, and provide an experienced approach to site. We excel at guiding and managing all steps in a collaborative, creative process.
We have designed and delivered placemaking works including seasonal installations, permanent interventions, and activations across Australia and the UK.
From suspended installations and associated infrastructure, to interactive environments and built forms, we know how to create memorable and enduring experiences.
A core capability is public-realm works including playspaces, furniture, structures, and facilities.
Our approach to site, knowledge of Australian Safety Standards and best-practice design principles allows us to deliver installations in the public realm with confidence and a true focus on human-centred design.
